Looks good value no? It's abiit more than what I wanted to spend but I think it looks great, would obviously depend on what deal I could get against the 911

Love that! You'd be better off selling the P first, then dealing for cash on the Loti.

And when you do buy it, I have an unused detachable muffler for your exact exhaust that will quieten it down for track days, going very cheap.

Long time lurker, first time poster.

It's lovely, if I do say so myself. So lovely, in fact, that I bought it! Ben emailed the pics to me late on Tuesday and I put a deposit on 2 minutes later. Test drove it today, loved it, signed all the paperwork and am picking it up next Saturday. Its got a few stone chips on the front and a small scuff on the drivers seat but it's otherwise immaculate. It was well priced, serviced a couple of months ago and I am delighted with it. At my wife's request, I am having the stage 3 exhaust, which droned at cruising speed, replaced with a stage 1. I'm happy to make the change in all honesty but I was expecting to do it in a few month. She authorised the expenditure now though!

I have no other modification plans, although I may put an uprated intercooler on in a few months. Otherwise I am just going to enjoy driving it!

Already got a trackday booked at Bedford at the end of the month!

Cheers Will

Thanks very much. I thought a new exhaust was a small price to pay for marital harmony! Stage 1 still sounds decent too.

Stage 1 Lotus exhaust is not designed for the supercharged Yota engine.
It'll sap power and probably break up. Dealer should have told you that nono
Get some money off instead and buy a 2bular, Larini or EliseParts system.
Looks lovely btw smile

Is that right? Castle lotus are a main lotus dealer and suggested it to us. They seem very knowledgeable. I will do some research and give them a call on Monday to discuss

Have a look here - only the Stage 3 is the official Lotus item for the Supercharged Toyota.

Thanks.

I am not sure if that is what this is saying exactly, although I note that it does refer to the stage 3 being designed for supercharged engines. I think I will have a proper look tomorrow as I haven't been able to find any real clarification, and maybe speak to Essex autosport on Monday for a second opinion. Thanks for the advice though.

Is this exige all paint, or is it vinyl? My elise is a blue elise with the gold and white being vinyl, but then mine is a copy.
Keep thinking about changing the wheels to gold but not sure if that would be too much.

Thanks Cotty. Yes, in fact I think I'd bought the car before the OP even posted.

Katse - it's all paint, no wrap involved. It looks fantastic IMO although I think it will cost a bit more to respay if it ever comes to that. It has a few stonechips, as with all these cars, and I'm just going to ignore them and enjoy driving it.

Tell me about it, I originally called Castle Lotus about the 2007 Exige S they have up at 3k less! Good luck with finding one; that white one at Christopher Neal looks a good choice, with half the mileage of mine and 20 more bhp, but it probably won't be around for long.

This might also appeal?

If you are based in the south, Will Blackham has a good reputation and seems to price his cars keenly.
