I assume I should have a screw-in front tow eye somewhere knocking about my car?
Well I can't find it.

I know I need one for track use so where should I buy one from?

And the rear - there isn't one there either. (but I assume one should bolt straight to the chassis through the diffuser?)
Is a rear eye needed for the track too?

Cheers.

Rear towing eyes are not required for trackdays. At least I've never heard of them being asked for.

A rear one is worth having though, however if you're in the kitty litter, getting a rope onto the type which is bolted through the diffuser into the chassis would be a challenge.

Both front and rear eyes in various forms all available through eliseparts.

Do you not have a little black folder with allen keys, wheel nut and towing eye velcroed somewhere in the boot or behind the battery?

Can't help with regards the front toe eye on your car (on an S1 it lives under the bonnet). Rear towing eye is potentially handy - Eliseparts have them and, as you say, bolts to chassis through diffuser.

I don't appear to have a tool kit in the back.
All I have is the locking wheel nut key and a small extension bar that are in a side pocket of the plastic battery cover.
