Europa track day

Hi Europa owners

I am thinking of doing Bedford on Thursday evening but the noise limit is quite tight at - 101 DB static & Drive By - 87dB at 20m. Have you run your Europa with this noise limit? I have a Miltek system.

101db, I would have thought you'd be ok with that at Bedford. I've done bedford a couple of times but never in the Europa.

I'm not so sure. 101dB is thwe static, but most of the noise limit fails I've heard there have passed the static only to fail on the drive by..... passing the static doesn;t guarantee you'll be find on drive by.

Wouldn't like to commit tbh. Ask the guys on vx220.org maybe, and/or seloc.

You could try phoning the people at the circuit: I had similar concerns re my car before doing a track day there, so I phoned them to ask. I was invited to bring my car over a few days before the track day: the 'track manager' (dunno his proper title) took it on a couple of fast laps (with me in the passenger seat - woohooo!) to check the drive-by noise meter (it passed).

I spoke to the VX guys and they think it should be ok so no problem there. the only thing stopping me now is the poor weather forecast, can be bothered sliding around in v low grip on a set of A048s.
