I have been offered an SE5 that is a real state with no interior ect. but fundamentally solid. Because it is an SE5 I am toying with the idea of restoring it instead of building another kitcar in my spare time. I was wondering if there is a list or records ect. of how exactly a Scimitar left the factory, ie. exact colour and trim / options ect, as per some other classics?

Dave Poole is well worth speaking to, contact him via his sporting-reliants website which is filled with factory info.
also the RSSOC GTE registrar, contact details in the front of the Club magazine, 'Slice' or via the club site 'scimitarweb.
The clubs biggest event of the year at Curborough sprint circuit nr lichfiled on weekend of August 15th & 16th will see hundreds of scimitars in attendance and you will get to chat to dave and the registrar in person as well as view all the cars on site.
Trade stands are there too, dont miss it!

I can bring my SE5 to your kit car meet at the tickled trout if you want; is it still going on?

Yep, I think so! I cannot always get there though, our meet is the Plough in Bletchingley 1st friday of the month. I would love a proper look over a running se5.
