wot windscreen will fit

I am rebuilding a scimitar se6,1979/80.Can anybody outthere help me,i need a windscreen,ive been told that the screen was fitted to another make of car,does anybody no what.

Hi Jim

The Lotus windscreen is correct, BUT ONLY FOR THE EARLY SE5 & 5A CARS.
It was from a Ford Classic.

The later windscreen is Reliant only.

So you would have to try Ebay or the Owners club as I don`t think there are any new ones out there, but I may be wrong and someone like AutoGlass have them, but when I wanted one a few years ago they said NLA

HI Jim,

The front screen is unique to the SE6/a/b/GTC/Middlebridge Scimitar, they are available from QRG and GW new and I have seen on fleabay on a regular basis going for peanuts.

We usually have SE5 and SE6 screens on the shelf. These are manufactured by Pilkington and available in clear, green and top tinted. We have a heated SE5 front screen in stock at present as well.

The SE5 screen was fitted to the Ford Classic Capri 2 door Coupe and the Elan Plus Two.
