The TVR S has a chevette derived rack - I believe some scimitars do?
Does anyone have a source of the rubber steering rack mounts?

as mentioned in one of the other TVR S series threads (i have an S2 also), Graham Walker Ltd in Chester or Queensberry Rd Garage in Northampton are both Scimitar marque specialists and should be able to help. its only the SS1/SST and Sabres (GTEs dont have chevette derived racks)

Doesn't someone make an alloy alternative, simillar to that for TRs?

The rack housing is structural on GTEs...

Hi Nick,

hope you are well Sir?
yep youre dead right, they do, i added it into one of my other posts.

dont know if you are aware, but the RSSOC sprint/hills championship has changed to a power to weight ratio plus tyre handicapping system, so would make your purple beastie much more competitive in the series now (rthaer than it falling foul of the old regs). its always a crowd pleaser, so be good to see you out and about showing a few of the GTE crowd how a nicely prepped and quick version can go cool
i will forward regs and more details to you once they are finalised.
oh, and can you book the lovely weather again for wiscombe and Gurston as i shall be there in september? got sun burned last time
cheers
Craig

Nick, How are you still doing the Iron man thing?
Haven't got a clue about the rack mounts, but I had to say Hello.
Hope to see you this year at GD
All the best
Rich

Hi guys,

Missed this.

I'm going to come out again this year - I've got as far as sending the licence form off, anyway - so we'll see what gives.

I still don't have a solution for more power, and I need to extend the cage and chuck out some weight from somewhere else to compensate, but I've found the time to give it a wash and polish...and it even got its picture in print.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to make my fortune selling 'credit crunch' badges to other impoverished GTE owners.

Craig - a set of RSSOC regs as soon as they're ready would be handy, and Rich - how's the big red bus?

yep saw the pic in print, very good, and apt for all scimitars i think lol

will send through regs as soon as Ben has wrestled them from the grasps of the MSA. all their 2009/10 changes seem to be making them somewhat slower than usual.

as for more grunt and less weight, neither will help your handicap percentage under the new SSSC scoring system so no need to venture into the garage in the cold-Brrr!

one last thing, whats this 'washing of cars' thing!? sorry, not familiar laugh
