Gah! Door adjustment

Does anyone understand this?
I've go an se6a where the driver's door has crept forward and graunches on the back of the wing. There doesnt seem to be play in the hinge pins, as I can move the whole car up and down from the end of the door.
The bottom of the door seems to be 1/8" or so "inboard" of where I would expect, but the bottom hinge plate is as far out as it will go.
I have replaced all four bolts that mount the door to the strap, and waggled it so far back it interferes at the back.
Still, I open it half way and it crunches a lump of fibreglass off every time, I seems to have a life of it's own!
I've got an MOT coming up, and I'm wasting all my time on this bloody door!
