Why a shame? I have a glass roof on my Coupe -it helps keep the cabin cool - sitting directly above those twin exhausts isn;t funny! And it'll never wear out like a Webasto.

lol...such a "cheapish" looking aftermarket sunroofs completely destroy the shape of all classic cars.

it shows that the car is /was in the hand of owners without a certain "feeling" of "good taste" or "aesthetic".

also such sunroofs are often used to "cover" the problem with a saggy headliner and also a sign of owners who do not really have the money to maintain such cars:

normally it should not be a discusion of money to decide for such a DIY-market sunroof instead of a Webasto.

if you need fresh air: open the window.

if you cant accept that classic cars get hotter than modern ones...buy a modern one..with a working aircon.

My point is that it's a personal choice. I hate Webasto's - cheap man-made textile that ages easily/creases/will ultimately require replacement.

Appreciate your point about the glass roof, though - it does detract from the image of my Coupe - I'd prefer it without, but it was fitted by one of the previous owners - it's a small thing not worth worrying about, given the pleasure of owning such a car.

I have seen attempts at filling in sunroofs on g/fibre cars - it's never perfect.

Oh and I do have two modern cars with working aircon as well...... and more than sufficient money to maintain/run the Coupe for years - so disagree with your comment regarding being able to afford it.

such glass-roofs are a no-go here. cars offered with such a roof, not shown clearly in the pictures of the advert are in 80% a walk-away. or a 30-40% price reduction.

arriving at a meeting with a sunroof car and you will park in the last corner, also some comments form the others are sure.
