Hi chaps,

My car's just failed it's MOT due to rear brake caliper - mine's had a conversion with a Wilwood kit on the front and just a rear disc conversion on the rear - unfortunately, the rear caliper only has a Ford stamp and a casting number and I've no idea of how to get a replacement? Was wondering if he recycled the front dics/caliper assembly and just put it on the rear, and if so were the original calipers Ford parts?

I am afraid not. The fronts were Lockheed IIRC.

Cheers - further investigation shows the front calipers were Girling originally, so no joy there. Looks like they're either going to be Sierra or Grenada parts - the hunt continues....

Some scims (se5s, se6 (notA)s) have got gitrling calipers, but they are huge. I would have thought they were too big.

how does the rear caliper look like? is it a single-piston pin-slide caliper? or fixed caliper?

It was the caliper from a Scorpio (or similar) in the end.

Cheers.
