Hi, please can someone help with an explanation of how the nuts work on wolfrace alloys?

I have got a couple and around each hole (where the wheel studs go through)there is an insert which is some sort of push fit in the alloy. Should these come out? Presumably to get the wheel refurbed then these bits need to come out.

Additionally, I have got another old Wolfrace which has only 2 inserts, both different sizes... And a bag of wheel nuts I have come with inserts, which are slightly smaller than the "insertless" holes on the 3rd wheel. Is that a problem?

So, should the wheels have these permanantly fixed in place?
Can I take the ones in the wheels now out and replace them with new ones?

Edited to add, I think these insert thingys are called "taper washers"

I'm sure this is an easy one, but i don't want to start drifting out these things and damaging the wheel.

Many thanks In advance

They come with the nuts and are a pretty accurate fit in a perfect wheel so tend to be a little tight for a wheel with corrosion and burred edges. So knock em out and you will get new ones with a new set of nuts..
