Have a good one.
Can't stand the place, myself - never been able to get on with it.
Got the 'box out, BTW. Input gear completely stripped, laygear trashed - looks like someone dropped a grenade into it.
I suspect the damage I can see is not the root cause, however.
I'm Taking it back to the guys who built it tomorrow - they want to strip it themselves so they can establish what happened.

Hi Nick
i shall have a good one as im only spectating! oh yeah and taking the p**s out of Mr Gough, especially as i believe itll be his birthday.
as for liking curb-bog-horror, its not my favourite place (might be to do with an engine i grenaded there, only the dipstick was saved!!) but is only 45mins or so from home.
Double lappers arent bad, quite enjoy them, makes the circuit a lot more interesting.
im sure you will get the box sorted sir. i know whenever ive wrecked them in the past, the scene of devastation that greets you opening them up, is quite a surprise. Lovely glittery bits in the oil, followed by fragments that look like landmine shrapnel. Not good...

Hi all,
I went to Curborough yesterday to watch the RSSOC sprint. It was great to meet up with some new people and see some Scims in action.
I took plenty of pics (like a japanese tourist), but unfortunately my camera is lousy at taking action shots so quite a few had to be deleted. There are still plenty of static shots and some action shots during the day.

Back in the UK but house build continues. Bits fitted to car - Good heavens no...
My everyday car is paid off in January though so I'll be in a position to pay someone else to do it then
What size wheels/tyres is Brian running? I have some Compomotive 7x15 ET17 that foul with 195/50s i may have to machine the back away slightly but don't want anyone shouting 'needs spacers'

pretty sure Bryans are 6x15 or max 6.5x15s as they are a Honda Prelude fit wheel without the centre caps. where do the tyres foul? inboard or outboard? if its outboard, most manufacturers cast a deep 'boss' into the wheel centre with the very intention of machining it back to give a range of offsets. too much and they will catch on the rear trailing arms.
Thinking about it (must remember not to do too much thinking, must sit down, gone all light headed....) ET 17 is big off set so you reall need bloody Mk1 escort bubbles arches i reckon! std Sabre were (according to factoryt at least...) ET35 same as VW but i ran ET 29s on my SS1 with very little abrasion, used to just polish the tyre makers name on the sidewall, so reckon ET 25 or bit less should suit the Sabre.
