My SE5a was registered in March 73, anyone know how to find the date in the hope it was pre 73 that the car was produced???

Also my 5a has a seperate front spoiler when a rabbit a rabbit maliciously broke it off I rang GW for a replacement and they told me they were all integrated? What do other people have???

The RSSOC has the chassis number.
Lower number exempt, higher number you get charged.
The RSSOC number is the only one accepted by the authorities.

No spoiler was fitted to the 5 (the 6 is integrated).
Many people fit a dolmite spoiler to aid cooling (it forces air through the grill)
Perhaps yours is a dolomite spoiler?

Do you have a picture?

the only ones I have seen in books are:

- Don Pithers (front cover of his book)
- Broadspeed car (brooklands book)

Both are non-orginal

Hi,

Reliant never fitted spoilers to the Scimitar. There were plenty of after market spoilers made for the Scimitar by various Scimitar dealers for example Will Sparrow and Denpart used to make and fit them.

Best Wishes
