Power steering rack.

I will shortly be on my 5th power steering rack in 5 years of Scimitar ownership as my current one is leaking. The first one when I bought the Car lasted 2500 miles. The dealer replaced it under warranty with a recon one which lasted about 80 miles. It was replaced with another recon and this lasted 3000 miles. The current recon one has lasted 7000 miles. I will buying one from QRG who are now doing their own recon because of poor quality from recon firms I hope this is the last one I will be buying for quite a while given the upward trend in mileage survival rate.

I've had a not dissimilar experience with manual racks - it seems 'reconditioning' seldom extends beyond cleaning, painting and changing the rubber bits.

This time I'll have a go myself.

Power steering rack has gone again Pissing PSF from the offside. Still 17000 miles out of this one so getting better.
