What axle is fitted in the S6? Ie what road car was utilised before Reliant used it.

They used Salisbury axles, 4HA is a designation I've seen bandied about. I think Jaguar used them too but they come in a variety of drive ratios and overall widths. SE6 I think wider than SE5.

I'm not sure how true this is but I heard the 4ha was also fitted to a small dumper truck. Make of that what you will!

Are you trying to find a replacement? Used ones do seem to turn up from time to time in various classifieds .

Salisbury 4HA - used in live-axle Jags and Astons, and the same diff as used in the 4HU unit in IRS Jags.
