GTE buyers guide?
Discussion
Hello,
I am thinking of buying a 1979 SE6a( I think it's a 6a as it was registered in Feb 1979) and was wondering if there was a 'Buyers Guide' anywhere on line that I could look at.
It's had two owners, the last has had it since since 1981. FSH, bills etc, starts and has been driven a short distance to a garage for an MOT. MOT failed because most brake pipes need replacing. Other than that it's been serviced at the same garage for years and the garage owners are selling on behalf of the owner. I've know the garage boys since school(30+ years) so no fear of being left with a pile of rot.
A price of £650-£750 has been mentioned.
I'm not looking to do it up to sell for profit just as a project for some enjoyment and driving during the winter. I have a TVR S3 for summer but it leaks like a sieve in winter.....
Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve
