.... unfortunately with bonnet up and RAC in attendance. If you are on here then hope it was nothing serious.

Would have honked but was in family motor, you would have probably thought I was just some tosser of a Lexus driver laughing at you for being broken down.

My first spotted! The breakdown slightly spoils the achievement but thanks anyway (thanks also to the kind Griff driver who stopped to check I didn't need a lift anywhere).

After 14 months and 15000 miles I was probably due a breakdown anyway.

I'm clueless when it comes to cars but for anyone who's interested...
Driving along, battery warning lights up, 100yds on the car stops revving and splutters to idle and an eventual halt.
Won't start, phone Fernhurst and then RAC... alternator suspected though attempts to start her with an additional battery don't work so something more sinister may be at work.

Anyway... suddenly she kicks into life and I limp the extra mile to the office on a spare battery. Funny enough she started first time once I was at the office and the tow truck had arrived however she's currently being shipped over to Fernhurst to identify the fault!

Certainly sounds alternator related but could even just be the fabled "Big fuse" that often crops up. Anyway sure Fernies will sort you out. See ya.
