Griff & Purple Chim(?) - Chippenham

Green Griff (rear light conversion) and what can only be described as a purple BEAST (looked like either a modified Chim or an old tuscan racer) outside a pub in Yatton Keynall on the evening of 23rd. I think i've seen the purple one before - what on earth is it?

The purple BEAST was at Castle Combe TVRCC track day as I expect the Green Griff was.
