Whilst this may not have been me, I am going to claim it. I have a charcoal colour car that some people think is dark green.
Last week, I was travelling down the A12 to the (new) A130 to visit the picturesque village of Southend. I did not get around to taking the roof off for the journey and I am glad that I did not bother. When I got back to work at about 3:00pm my head resembled a highly polished tomato. Walking around a field (and some carriageway), without a hat, for an hour and half on possibly the hottest day of this year was not very sensible.
(If it was not me, and you say that it was near Brentwood, etc., would a beer buy your silence?)
