Lovely sunny Sunday, I drove my Chimaera from Newark on Trent to Macclesfield and back between 12 and 5. Therefore right through the Peak District, two different routes.

I saw a Ferrari 308, McLaren (who gave me a thumbs up) an Aston, several F types and enough Lotuses to open a Japanese Florists Shop. And enough Porsches to start a dealership.

Did I see another TVR?
Did I ‘eck as like. mad

Where was everyone? And don’t give me the “car stays tucked up until Burghley” rubbish. It was 17 degrees and bone dry, even over the Cat and Fiddle.

Sounds like a brilliant route, I used to drive over the peaks to Crewe every day.
My excuse is it’s in bits, I’m in the middle of the read diff bush battle and fitting a Cat.

Mine was at Castle Combe, and then at home being taken to bits.

You must remember that all TVRs are incredibly valuable classic cars that need specialist attention, must remain polished at all times and NEVER get dirty. Therefore they're not to leave the garage unless absolutely necessary.

I bet you got yours totally filthy doing all that driving malarkey nono

I was a bit embarrassed when I turned up at the other TVR owner's house, parked on his sloping driveway, and the whole of the dirty front of the car was exposed in full sunlight for both of us to see. Never mind - I bought it to drive it.

I am now the owner of a full set of "Y" rated Uniroyal Rainsport 3s, thanks to him.
"Y" rating is a Film classification, designating a high risk of engine or chassis porn and over 18s only. whistle

Was out in mine over the weekend as I am most weekends. Haven't seen another one in ages.

I also drove the Cat & Fiddle road last week.

However, as I had the kids with me I needed rear seats and was in the Shaguar estate.

My Griff is, like yours, owned to be used and driven, rather than polished, and indeed it is currently in need of a wash having been out in wet weather recently.

Hello Brian, how's the car going?

Be good to see it next time you venture up to the Fleur.
