2004 Saab 93 TiD Fault

Having a issue with my 2001 Saab 93 2.2 TiD, Was driving and became very sluggish. and then when i went to around 3000 revs EML came on. Got the code read and it came up as P0244 Turbocharger Wastegate Solenoid A Range/Performance. Tried looking at all vacuum/air pipes, replaced ones which looked like they needed replacing.

Still coming as same fault. Also cleaned egr, was coked up with soot but now clear.

Anyone had this issue before?
Is it worth me replacing the solenoid in question, where is this solenoid located within the engine bay?

Is the actuator moving? If no check the small hose back to the valve on the bulkhead. Take the hose off and feel if the valve is sucking. If not chances are the valve is the problem - as they sometimes are.

Thanks, where about is this valve located within the engine bay? There seems to be nothing near the bulkhead.
