Puff of blue smoke on start up?
Discussion
The car is a 2001 95 2.3lpt 185bhp 125k miles with FSH.
Any ideas what could cause this, I'm assuming as blue its oil from somewhere Turbo? or just simply getting old and valves/ rings are wearing and a bit of oil is getting burnt.
I check my levels every week and am not noticing any drop in oil level or water levels. Economy still the same as usual.
Cheers for any help

I had the same problem with my '02 9-5 Aero. What made it confusing was that sometimes there would be nothing at all, and sometimes a street-filling enormous plume. I was worried about turbo or valve seals, but with only 110k the Mitsubishi turbo is commonly regarded as being OK to higher miles.
So, I replaced the breather system with the updated parts. A couple of small puffs for a week after fitting, and now nothing at all and its thirst for oil has vanished.
If the smoke isn't consistent, it might be a place to start.
