Had a clean under the bonnet of the car today and found this.
Does anyone know what pipe it is? Guessing crankcase ventilation.

Bit annoyed as its been to the main dealer for a health check two weeks ago and they haven’t spotted it.

I think you will find it's the crank case breather pipe. I have just replaced that on the other halfs car only costs a couple of pounds. It's best to get a new rubber seal that goes into the engine case at the same time.

If the breather hose is that poor you should consider buying the full hose kit. You will get the non return valve in the kit too, seeing as the end is broken on yours. You'll need to obtain the cam cover seal separately. Budget around £70 main dealer.

Thanks. Rang the garage this morning and asked them to order a new breather hose kit. Dropped the car off to have it fitted all sorted now. £60 for a full kit and fitting.

Car-Tech in Hartlepool. Rang them first thing. They ordered the parts got the car in straight away and the job was done by 2pm. Might have got preferential treatment as their currently restoring my other car.
