HELP.... Inlet Manifold???
Discussion
looking for some advice.....
Engine management light on so took to a mechanic to be told I need a new EGR valve then told a new inlet manifold also. After reading up on these im going to attempt the EGR cleaning myself. I was shown the manifold bar off its rollers and was just wondering if this was caused by the EGR and can just be put back on after a good cleaning??
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

There is good cover of this in one of the Vauxhall forums. Also in the UKSaabs Forum, Knowledge Base section, a link which I can't put on here at work. Covers sorting out and repairs to the flap system. The manifolds do not have any user-replace parts, but the repairs are possible. Not to be overlooked is the possibility of the actutor being faulty but most likely is a build-up of carbon on the flaps causing them to stick and then the operating bar breaks away from the spindles.
