Greetings all
Got a 54 plate 9-3 Aero, and am getting close to needing some new front tyres.
Currently have Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 on which to be honest have been horrible (although roads round here aren't the best, they're very keen to follow the slightest change in road surface). So, what tyres would the more knowledgeable recommend. Only really use the car for commuting with the odd long motorway journey if that helps.

Thanks.

Falken 452.

Frankly anything else is a waste of money...

I had a full set of 452s put on my Aero when I bought it; very good in the dry but seemed to be useless in the snow last year. Ended up with Toyos on the front this winter and they were 100 times better; little between them to be honest.

Which toyo's would you recommned? My last few cars I've just gone to the likes of mytyres/blackcircles etc and got the highest star rating from a recognised brand (which I'm now aware wsn't always a good idea.....)

Kumho KU31s have been very good on my 9-5 Aero, wet or dry, even ok in the snow. Would imagine 9-3 has similar characteristics to the 9-5.

TR-1's; I know some people slate them for having a soft side wall but tbh I'm never driving that hard that it bothers me. Great in the wet, great in the dry, good in the snow and a decent price to boot - they'll be around the same as the Falkens if you use blackcircles/mytyres etc to source the lowest price then get the garage to price-match wink
