Saab 9000 earthing help required

Hi,

The heated rear screen in my 9000 is hardly working at all. I have done various tests on it and have isolated the problem to an earthing problem. The issue is that I have no idea where the earth is.

I have traced it to the dash, but it goes into a bigger loom which goes into a bigger loom, all in the passenger dash area behind the fusebox and relay panel (which are removed currently).

Does anyone know where the ground for this is?? Haynes and Google throw up nothing - help please!

Might be as easy or easier to run a new earth to a local chassis/cab metal bracket - I`m a 9000 owner & hope for no electrical glitches!

You may well be right. I'll get the soldering iron out tomorrow

In fairness, most electrical issues are easy to sort. I've done a few and it's not too bad if you have a multimeter
