I would like to fit some better sidelight bulbs. Currently I have uprated headlight bulbs (car is not HID-equipped) and the sidelights look even more yellow than before. I think that the car does not monitor sidelights, as no warning came up when one failed.
I don't like the idea of fitting LED ones, as far as I know these would not be E-marked. I have seen Ultra-bright capless ones on the bay, E-marked, and they look like they are filament as opposed to LED. Can't find them in the local shops though (I think MDC Cowley stocks special bulbs, it was closed today, but normally opens on Sundays - drat)
While I said I didn't like the idea of LEDs, if that is the only short term option, so be it - will they upset the car's systems? There are some in stock at my local store in Holloway Cowley - I turned down the blue capless filament ones he was trying to flog me - I said, hey man, I run a SAAB.....

ETA The blue capless ones I mentioned were unbranded, and listed as Blue lights, off road use only. Now done some research & it seems the ones I want are Philips Blue Vision Ultra, W5W.

I've got a set of these and they fit the bill perfectly. I did try LED bulbs before hand but got the flashing issue and after all the faffing about getting them in, I didn't actually like the look of them. Luckily Autobulbs had sent a pair of the bulbs in the link with my order as a gift biggrin
