When raising the windows on my 9-3 Aero convertible they get to the top and then drop as though sensing a trapped hand or something. Do it either with teh button or when closing the hood.

Open the door slightly and they shut fine.

Is there anything easy to check on this, or is it a trip to the dreaded stealers?

Hi

Keen to understand this as I have the same problem on mine.

Unless I am missing something, how do you deactivate the rapid closure / anti pinch functions so that you can follow the recalibration proceedure?

If I drop my windows 150cm then raise them again, they will come flying down again.

Knock the battery off for 5 mins, those functions will not work until you calibrate the stop limits.

My windows close fine if the door is open. Do I still have to do the battery disconnect thing?

I had an 04 Cab for four years and lived in colder climes than is the norm for the UK.

Mine did this constantly and only silicone spraying and keeping the window rubbers clean stopped it.

The re-calibration didn't work as the motor was sensing the extra load from the stiff rubbers when cold and dropping the windows down.

Mine never did this when the door was open, and a gentle helping hand could temporarily help out to ease the window fully shut.
