Anyone on here upgraded the system on their 9-5 Aero? Looking at Maptun / Jetex (I think they are the same) cat back systems, but don't wont anything that will look and sounds ridiculous. Does anyone have any experience with the above systems regading build quality and sound?

Cheers

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think the Maptun and Jetex systems are the same....?

I'd be inclined to go with the Maptun of the two or a JT system if you arn't bothered by going stainless. I had a full 3" JT system with downpipe and soprt cat on my old 9000 Aero and that was nice without any 'boy racer' noise. The aluminised JT systems will easily last 4-5 years as well.

Ferrita are the best systems, but not cheap.

Speaking to my local Saab specialists, they've recommended me the Jetex stainless system over the Maptun. Have it on order and should be fitted next week.

Had a Jetex stainless cat back exhaust fitted on Friday. Have only driven it back from the garage so far, but it sounded nice and mature and noticed a bit less turbo lag and increased responsiveness.

Another great just from the guys and Saabtech, Stevenage.

It did force me to clean the car in this freezing weather as I had a nice shiney exhaust with brake dust covered wheels and two weeks of grime over the body work!!
