It wasn't going into the red on boost.

Found it now - pipe off. Replaced with a narrower pipe not sure what difference this will make?

Mine never has, is it meant to? I've never watched particularly closely, but I've never seen it go past the yellow/red border on the gauge.

Saab 9-5 Turbo gauges are electronically driven from the ECU and just a give a guide, not a real measurement

This, hence the question. I don't think I've ever seen any of my Saabs go very far into the red.

Mine went about a third of the way into the red when it was running a BSR map. As standard it generally just hits the start of the red. Glad you managed to solve the problem - which pipe was it?
