Heavy rain has entered my boot. Help please.
Discussion
Hi guys went out to the Saab today and to my horror found it was wet. I think I traced the leak to the driverside boot rubber not making a complete seal with the upper boot lid. The water then seems to track down the bead to the latching mech in the middle. this then over spilled into the boot.
There was a fair amount of water in there (half a glass)but still more than I want inside my cars boot.
I have moved the drivers side hinge down a fraction to try and force the boot into a more secure contact with the boot rubber. everything seems to be in order the rubber seal is in perfect condition, and I can not see any other way in.
Is there any known issue/remedy to this issue? I want to sort it ASAP so as not to get the hood mech in a mess, or start cancer inside the car.
All help as always greatly recieved.
p.s just bought some Renovo Soft to restorer, so I'll let you know my verdict in a week or so, when I get some decent weather to do it.
Regards
Olly
