Saab 9-5 flat battery

Hi,
I hope someone can help me with this problem.
The battery is flat and as soon as I start charging it the alarm sounds. The alarm was set on the car prior to the battery going flat.

Using the remote key fobs pressing the unlock button makes no difference.

Any advice as at the moment this is preventing me from using the car. I can't have the alarm sounding for a few hours whilst charging.

Disconect the battery then......which unless on a trickle charger you should always do anyway.
