Lowering front sub-frame on a 9-5

I need to replace the front ARB bushes. The rear of the front subframe has to be lowered. The exhaust will have to be separated. Where is the best place to separate it? At the turbo, at the join between the DP and intermediate pipe, or both and get the exhaust completely off? Any advice on this job would be appreciated. Is there any other parts I might want to replace when I'm in there? Thanks in advance.
