Hi guys,

looking at Saab 9-5s, and I can't seem to find info concerning 9-5 Aero HOT service intervals?
What are the service intervals (12k?)?
What are typical service costs?
Which are the biggies?

Some years ago, I bought a Volvo, then within 2 months had to put it through a very expensive 60k miles service - ouch! I'm keen to learn from this mistake by buying at suitably low miles or buying after the expensive service smile

Thanks in advance!

My Indy carries out a complete full service at every service, none of this checking levels rubbish they do at dealerships. Price is about £250 +vat.

I do get the oil changed between services though, which cost around £100

There's no cambelt to be replaced as it's a chain, but they do need a new serpentine belt generally after 5-6 years, although not very expensive.

12 months/18k miles

4th service is the biggy.....can't really guage what costs would be as I've always had other bits done at the same time, so my bills arn't too representative....I'd say you'd need to budget for 600 notes for the biggy.

thanks for the answers guys, so somewhere between £100 and £600 then wink As long as it's not an engine out, replace everything jobbie costing >£1k then I won't worry too much about it - thanks smile
