Changing the sidelights on a 2005 9-3
Discussion
I'm going to sound like a complete saab noub here but needs must
For the first time since buying the car I need to change a side light; both the car manual and the Haynes manual say to pull gently on the wires and the bulb holder should slide out of it's socket. Suffice to say I'm yanking on these things best I can as you've got to twise your hand around in the light casing) but it's not coming out; I don't want to pull too hard and risk ripping the wires out of the socket! Is there definately no twist action to pulling the holder out? Am I supposed to be pulling on these wires hard? And is there a special knack to getting the light out?
TIA

Been there, got the Tee shirt!
You can't get your hand through the hole at the rear of the reflector, so you have no alternative but to pull on the wires. Only alternative is to find a 6 month old baby, with the strength in their fingers of a 20 year old, who's hand would fit through the hole!
I did, and it still worked afterwards!
