2002 9-3 Aero SE Convertible ACC heater blows very hot
Discussion
Hi all,
Newbie here, hello. I've just bought a 2002 9-3 Aero SE Convertible, great car, but a few niggles to iron out. First thing I had to do was replace the ACC SID which was going mental and now the heater is still not working correctly.
Now the ACC display is fixed, the heater blows very hot when it is on HIGH, but click down one heat setting to 27 and it blows only very slighly warm, this does not feel right to me as it is about the same warmth as 20 in my oher half's car...
The SID outside temp is always stuck at 50 degrees, is this a possible reason? Possibly a broken thermostat somewhere? Does anyone know if this is the case or what the solution might be.
Many thanks in advance if you have any suggestions.
Ken

Afraid I have bad news for you.
Mine did this. (2004 Aero Conv.)
From new.
Three dealers couldn't put it right and basically said that is how it is.
I gave up in the end and always wore a jumper.
I found the heater pish poor whichever setting was used (ACC on or off).
My '67 Alfa is warmer to drive.
The 9-5 doesn't have this problem - so far.
