Right - time for my first service (40,000 miles) with my 04 Saab 9-3 Cab Vector 2.0t....I'm waiting for Saab Grimsby to contact me with a price - how much do you guys pay at main dealers?

Looking to include the MOT as well, and hopefully a courtesy car....

Also, anyone used Grimsby Saab before?

Thanks

And while we are talking about that I've just been quoted £310 for a 12 month first service. Seems like a lot of money for an oil change!

I hate paying main dealer prices. Could / should I go independant? What would the leasing company say I wonder?

Grimsby just quoted for Intermediate Service £280 inc VAT, plus £35 for MOT......steep but not unresaonable I don't think?!

I'm nowhere near Grimsby but I can only say that I hated my Saab main dealer experience with a passion. They were shockingly bad, rude and expensive. I had free servicing for the first 3 years so only used them for as long as I had to.

The Saab independent I use is fab, reasonably priced, know their stuff and more importantly I trust them.

And they are? I have an instinctive aversion to main dealers.

I'm in north east london and I only hope you are close!

Nope sorry, not close enough....Simply Saab in Bristol look after our pair of Saabs.

Stick up a new thread, someone will point you in the direction of a decent indy near to you I'm sure.

I think there is an indy near Haxey near Doncaster, but thought they were more for pre-GM Saabs...?
