9-3 Power Steering

Anyone got any idea why the power steering on my 9-3 Tdi Vector doesn't work on cold mornings? It takes about 3 miles to get going and is then fine. It only seems to be a problem on the very cold mornings we've been having lately.

I rang Saab who thought it might be a problem with the alternator but as they replaced that last month I don't think so.

There was a software update for this. I cant be sure this will fix it but a good place to start. hope this helps

Hi how did you get on with your steering? We have one what does the same also had a new alternator 4 mths ago
