I wouldn't normally post such unexciting news to everyone else, but thought it was worth a mention as mine was a 9-5 3.0 TiD (2002), an engine which has had more than its fair share of bad press. I can only speak from experience when I say that I have gone from 59k to 159k in a little over two years. The only two unscheduled failures were a starter motor and a water pump and the car still pulled like a train. Just thought I would post some good news about that particular engine, I really enjoyed my time in the car and had I read the numerous posts on many forums about the engine before buying it, I would probably have bought something else, which would have been my loss!

I don't know if you are just one of the lucky 3.0TiD drivers (Forums do seem to only attract bad news!).

I had one from new in 04. It never missed a beat until 108k when it needed a new fuel pump (one of those expencive 3.0TiD 'common' failures!), and when similar problems started to show signs I got shot quick!

Pleased it gave you good service.
