Pattern parts Vs SAAB parts
Discussion
Just booked car in to have timing belt and tensioners, waterpump and possible aux belt done. Just researching prices of Parts for Saab/Elk Parts Vs Euro Car Parts.
Waterpump:
PFS: Saab original £65
Euro Car Parts: Circoli £21/KWP £32
Is it worth economising on pattern parts or are they a false economy?
Conscious that they are seriously critical parts for the engine so don't want them going wrong. Not bothered about warranty as car is nearly 5yrs and 117k old.

I`ve bought parts for my 9000 from Eurocarparts & they`ve come in a dark blue bag marked SAAB with correct part no`s etc - only paid 43% of the retail SAAB price. Scanparts stuff is also very good in my experience.
There is an awful lot of money in `official` SAAB parts - keeps them afloat I think - £5.95 for a single O ring ...
I only visit the trade SAAB counter when all else fails.
