9-3 Auto ECO V reg
Discussion
I have just bought one after years of classic Saabs.
When I bought it there was a nagging voice at the back of my head saying "its not a real saab".
Have to say, I have been really impressed with it. There have been a few minor hiccups with it but nothing that would have been expensive (have a 6 month warranty which is nice)
If you are buying it for town driving you will find it expensive on petrol. I do about half and half town and motorway and seem to be averaging about 30mpg. Better than my old Saab so happy to live with this.
I find it more comfortable than my old Jag XJ6, seats are incredible comfortable, and even though it only has 150bhp it is a pretty fast car, in sport mode it flies !
Things to look for are a decent service history, apparently the engine oil can turn to sludge causing engine damage so regular oil changes are a must. Pixels go on the "Saab Information Display" but these can be sent away and refurbed for £40 and come back with a lifetime garauntee.
If the car is in good condition and the money is right I would go for it. Feels like a lot of car for the money and they seem to be pretty reliable.

They are very nice cars, so much car for the money. Smooth comfortable ride with so many toys to play with.
I have a 2001/Y 2.0lpt which I am about to put up for sale. It's a rare airflow model in steel grey with the aero bodykit and wheels so looks fantastic. It has only 62k miles on it with full history (serviced yesterday), MOT'd and taxed a week ago. All the toys, black leather etc. Lovely car. I'd be looking for £2500. Only selling as I've just been told I need a hip replacement operation(don't play sunday league football!!) and won't be able to drive for 6-8months from November.
