I wouldn't touch it as I'm terrified of the fuel system! Not sure it's that hard though. IIRC it's in different places on different years.

Can look it up in the Bentley if you want?

Cheers NCOT, I'm gonna drop it off at the garage...if for no other reason than when I felt about under the car I'm fairly sure I put my finger through the filter...suffice to say, I've not primed the fuel pump since...which could be an interesting experience!

They can get completely perforated & start leaking badly - you need a couple of pretty big spanners - 27, 32mm?? & need to take up the turning force properly when undoing old one/tightening up the new one - you should get new washers in the filter box - they`re different sizes...
Undoing the clamp for the body of the filter can be a a pain. Plaster it with grease when the new one goes on.
PS - you`ll get an armful of petrol up your sleeve when you undo the banjos - don`t smoke for a while!

Only need doing about every 50000 miles though.
Good luck.

Cheers J, it's rusted badly (filter and bracket)...it's still sitting there and I've still yet to turn it over...quite frankly I'm scared.
