9-5 engine warning light
Discussion
Hello all,
Bit of a tricky one, looking for any suggestions...
The engine management light keeps popping on. It only does it from start up, not on the move. It seems to be more frequent when the engine is hot. If I pull the ECU fuse it resets and off I go. There's no discernable loss of performance or increased fuel consumption.
I've checked the throttle pot and all seems well there.
It's fairly intermittent and has got me fairly stumped.
Any thoughts?

our engine management light has been on permanently since the cat blew on us 2 1/2 years ago.
the fault code says its the lamba sensor, but thats been changed a couple of times - each time it comes back. all they think is that the fault is within the ECU. car runs fine as it is, so we have never bothered to change the ECU.

I must get mine read, but never a good time to nip into a garage. I might just buy a reader and keep it in the car for the next time it decides to have a 'moment'the fault code says its the lamba sensor, but thats been changed a couple of times - each time it comes back. all they think is that the fault is within the ECU. car runs fine as it is, so we have never bothered to change the ECU.
