Hiya guys, wavey

I have no idea about Saabs but have been offered a 9-3 Aero coupe, 2002, 75k, full history for £2000.

Is that a decent price and are they worth a go, what to look out for?
I'm after a reliable family car that's a bit of fun - before I buy yet another BMW!

IMHO they are very nice cars. No, they're not the last word in dynamics, but they look good, Aero has a good spec, pretty quick, and pretty well built.

I don't know what the pricing is like but £2k sounds good for a low mileage top spec car...

For the cost they're not bad cars. I've been running a 1998 9-3 2.0SE (the 185BHP turbo not HOT Aero) which I bought in Jan for £900 with full service history at 120k miles. It's only needed air in the tyres and petrol in the tank since then. It's dead comfortable, feels indestructable and has a reasonable turn of speed. Couple that with a massive boot to throw all my baby's stuff in and it has made a lot of sense. Would recommend. In addition, the HOT Aero end of the line 9-3 should be a far superior car to mine - hence the higher price, I guess.

Collecting next week. wavey

It also has Abbot Racing steering rack brace, poly bushes, Viggen grooved disks, and adjustable suspension (not sure if that's not standard).

We'll see how it goes........
