Just for reference...
Discussion
Had a couple of minor things with my Saabs recently, so I thought I'd post them for future reference by others.
9-3 Aero HOT Auto 2002 (Stage 3 MapTun): Had the check engine and gearbox lights coming on. This would happen when the car was cold and always about 400 yards from home. Car would go into limp-mode, but if you stopped and restarted, would come out of limp mode and drive normally. Lights would stay on for a couple of days then just go out. Problem would reoccur a week or two later. Turned out to be a faulty gearbox output shaft sensor.
9-5 SE Auto Estate 2001 - On turning the ignition key, all lights would come on, check would be OK and lights would go off as expected, but nothing else would happen, on waiting and moving the selector about the car would eventually start Happened at random every two or three weeks. This was of course the "Neutral Selector Switch" problem.
