Hi Everyone,

After 16 years of talking about it I've finally got a SAAB.

Bought a 58plate 93 Vector Sport 150 TID with 5,000 miles on the clock last week for £14,000 Is this a fair price?

I also have a couple of questions if anyone would be able to help

a) Is there a boot release? Looked through the book and it says that there is a button on the drivers side to open it. I can't see it, perhaps it's some sort of stealth design from the Gripen?

b) There doesn't seem to be bluetooth. Is there an after market upgrade available to enable the steering wheel buttons to be used

c) My ex *spit* Peugeot 307 had automatic dipping rear view mirror and electric folding windows. I don't use the rear view mirror much anyway but is it possible to get these as an aftermarket upgrade and does it cost a small fortune.

In all I really like this car. Much better than my Pug which did have all the extras but was a crock of doggy pooo. The automatic transmission is a bit sedate which makes a change from revving the hell out of the 1.6 Pug but is nice and comfortable. With the pUGH I had to stop off at a service station every couple of hours to bend my spine back into shape, not so with the SAAB and it's nice not to have the wheels connected directly to the seats (such a stiff suspension Peugeot-- why???)

Anyway only one problem with it so far, some son of a donkey opened their car door in a car park onto the side of mine so going to Marshall SAAB in the next few weeks to have the crease removed and panel sprayed!

Anyway love this site!!!

I think you mean electric folding mirrors.....rather than windows?

If so, no, from what I've been told it's not possible to retro-fit the power fold mirror option.

For your other questions, probably best to go to one of the Saab specialist forums if noone answers here.

The boot release you reffer to is located in the drivers door just below the arm rest. It is a small square black button with a picture of the boot on it. It only unlocks the boot however and doesnt actually open it. This is required because as soon as you drive off the boot locks itself, thus when you stop and want to get in the boot its locked. Press the button and hey presto.

Cheers Road2Ruin.

I've had a look and there's no button anywhere in the car for the boot.Perhaps they removed it in the newer cars.

Possibly so, mines an O6 so a couple of years older than yours.

Cheers.
