My car is due a Service soon (according to SID), it is due its 2nd service, how much should i expect to pay at a dealer / indie?

car is currently under warranty.

i'm also going to have to replace the rear brake pads, not sure but the rear pads have worn out faster than the fronts.. is that normal? where cam i source pads saab or alternatives cheaply?

cheers

Got my 2.0 Aero auto serviced (2nd service, 21,000 miles) last week for £199.00 on a deal in Glasgow from an approved indi, guy was great and even gave the car a clean inside and out, done in 5 hrs.

He mentioned that he was suprised the back pads didn't need changing as they usualy do at this stage.

prices are ranging from £380 to £461..

parts costjust shy off £100 the rest is vat and dealer hourly rate

will my warranty be void if i don't get it serviced by a Saab dealer and just service it by a indie?

Interesting to compare the servicing of a vectra VXR and the Saab 2.8T, vauxhall charge £285 for a 36K service, saab dealers after ringing around a few more are asking around £410. some dealers charging as much as £480!

the servicing requirements are exactly the same, why such a large difference?
