my brother has a 9000 2.3T which still runs and drives, but does have a couple of faults, the gearbox does engage every gear without crunching and changes fine but the actual stick feels loose so my guess is its something to do with how its connected underneath, it also needs a new headlight as one is cracked, its out of MOT and the main problem-which is why it cant just be put on E bay is hes lost the V5 so it would be awkward to sell, but obviously if anyone did want it when the DVLA wrote to confirm change of ownership it would be confirmed, otherwise its just sitting there doing nothing so if anyones interested let me know and i can send some pics over while the hunt for the V5 continues, it has been sitting for a while now and seems a bit of a waste as its not that much of an untidy car and im sure someone with mechanical experience could get it on the road again without much hassle, hes not bothered about it as hes got a new car, sorry if it sounded like an advert as really it seemed like a better idea to post to someone on here than just scrap it.

Aaah, bit far for me (am in Aberdeen). Try putting it on www.uksaabs.co.uk, sure it will fine a new home very quickly there.
