I'm going to look at one of these at the weekend. It's a non-turbo model. 100k, looks very tidy with MOT.

I wondered if anyone with experience would know if there is any problems I should be specifically looking for with this. I'm guessing like all Saabs of this period the gearbox could be an issue - was this an issue with the non-turbo model?

Me and a couple of mates need a shed to do a rally and this fits the bill, we need it to get us 2000 miles. It's not got a good service history, I'll probably give it an oil change if I get it.

Any help is appreciated.

If it's non-turbo it'll be fairly basic, but still a comfy cruiser.

Gearbox - watch particularly for master/slave leaks from the clutch. Master is expensive to fix (£200 or so). Otherwise they're no issue at all.

However, if you're after a turbo model - mine's in the For Sale section!

Yours looks nice, but it's about 3x the price we're going to pay! Unless of course you want to let it go for peanuts to a good home and lover of all things Pre-GM Saab!?

Can anyone point me in the direction of an original brochure (online) or a spec list of the Mk1 9000?
