Anyone know the what "cambelt" is in Swedish???
Discussion
My NG900 has a full service history but some of the services were carried out in Sweden at Saab, so the service sheets for the work done are in Swedish. It was serviced at 48,539 miles, 52,927 miles and 58,352 at Saab in Sweden so I would assume the cambelt was changed at one of these services, but since I don't know the Swedish for cambelt, I can't check it against the job sheets for the services. Anyone able to help me out? Cheers
The Saab part numbers should be the same, regardless of the language, find out the part number for your belt and match it with the invoices you have.
Saab GB normaly refer to a cam belt as a "tooth belt", the swedish for which is tand bälte

I pressume you have the 2.5V6 engine then as this is the only engine in a NG900 that has a cambelt. If so, then the V6 cambelt needs changing ever 60k miles or 5 year IIRC, so should have been changed.
The 4 cyl Saab petrol engines have chain driven cams, which isn't a service replacement item.

Ah, mine's a 2.0 turbo so I don't need to worry about this then. I just thought the other day whilst looking through the paperwork that it is approaching 70k miles so I thought I should check it has had the proper maintenance work carried out. It's due for a major service before I take it to Le Mans in June, so I wanted to know which parts should have been replaced by now, so I can check that they have been and if not, get them replaced at the next service.
