I've done the dead - Black 9-3 Aero Convertible
Discussion
Well I've done the dead today and paid for a 2 year old 9-3 Aero convertible, 18k,Met black, cream leather and BIG turbo
One question, if the rear seats have the perforated panel between them does it mean it has the uprated stereo with the sub?
I've never had a Saab before but i am looking forward to next saturday
as is my 4 year old who can't wait for "roof come off daddy"
That'll keep the speeds sensible on the way home.

Sorry, I don't think the cloth bit in the ctr / bottom between the 2 rear seats means the upgraded stereo.
Mine is an 05 Aero (no up rated stero), and only noticed this small area was not leather after spraying it with leather cleaner a couple of months after buying!
I have 2 kids who love the roof down, but not in February, but if I had just taken delivery, I am sure they would make an exception!
Can strongly recomend the Hirsch re-map & springs.
Talk to me about the Hirsch suspension, is it just springs, does it make the car even lower then, I thought the Aero was low anyway?
How much better does it drive with the remap, to judge it's improvement, what can you wipe out at the traffic light take off (theoretically of course), dont think my front tires are going to last too long, maybe i'll put a spare set in the shed.

Mine has had the Hirsch springs fitted, from memory 15mm lower at the front, 10mm lower at the rear. Yes, you do need to be careful when parking front on against a kerb!
The re-map, again from memory, increases the bhp from 210 - 230. It's quite a refined upgrade, but noticible compared to standard. Before the Hirsch was done, mine had a superchips re map (done by the previous owner), which claimed 240 bhp. It was a lot more un-refined than the Hirsch, turbo guage further into the red, but when my ECU played up, after a bit of negotiation with the Saab main dealer (where the car was purchased from), they offered to do an FOC Hirsch re map, which would not effect the remainder of the Saab waranty.
